Gingerbread recipe

Festive cooking can be nutritious as well as delicious, and our gingerbread recipe is simple and fun, giving you a super tasty treat.


  • 130g plain flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 90g Coconut Oil at room temperature
  • 75g dark brown sugar & 75g Zylosweet
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange zest


Heat the oven to 190 degrees C and line a baking sheet with parchment

Mix together the coconut oil and sugar. Add the egg once combined

Add the molasses, vanilla and zest and mix

Slowly combine the mixture with the flour, salt and spices

Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface to the thickness of a pound coin

Bake for 8-10 minutes
