So what has actually changed?

In keeping with the ethos of Higher Nature, we also felt the need to make the packing more eco-friendly. Our new 240g pouches use less plastic than the old tubs and are 100% recyclable! Collagen is our main structural protein, contributing up to 30% of all the proteins found in our bodies. Collagen peptides support the skin, tissues, muscles, bones and many other parts of the body, contributing to the normal functioning of nearly all our vital organs. A meta-analysis of 19 clinical studies, along with several small and moderate-sized individual studies show that ‘taking collagen peptides between 372 mg to 12 grams daily for 4-12 weeks improves skin hydration and elasticity when compared with placebo in healthy adults’.

Marine collagen also seems to be more effective for skin hydration and elasticity than other sources. One study concluded: ‘Our findings revealed that fish was the optimal source of collagen for improving skin hydration.’

Fish maturity is carefully managed in line with sustainable farming practices, helping to maintain consistent quality.
